      Our Assessment evaluators are known for being objective decision-makers who are focused on returning an injured individual to maximum function. We are recognized as qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists*, Kinesiologists, and Registered Nurses specializing within the Insurance and Corporate industries who address specific concerns in each assessment report.


      Our evaluators have extensive work experience and familiarity with individuals who have sustained injuries including but not exclusive to:

· Soft Tissue Injuries
· Whiplash Associated Disorders
· Orthopedic Injuries / Multiple Traumas
· Amputations· Acquired Brain Injuries
· Spinal Cord / Neurological Injuries
· Burns
· Psychological Impairment 

Additionally, our evaluators offer specialization services in pediatrics and geriatrics. 



 
OT Goals 

· Maximize function and independence
· Facilitate vocational rehabilitation, when appropriate
· Empower individuals to take responsibility for attaining physical and emotional well-being
· Provide prompt comprehensive objective reports
· Provide direct responses to specific concerns / questions
· Fax back reports within 24 hours or next business day following assessment
· Reports delivered within 14 days from date of assessment 


 
OT Services 

In Home Assessments
Ability to perform Activities of Daily Living, care giving and/or self-care is assessed. 

Attendant Care Needs Assessments (Form 1)
Independence and need for assistance to perform personal care tasks, health/care and hygiene needs, and need for supervision is assessed. 

Assistive Devices Program (ADP)
Authorized ADP OT's will arrange for assistive devices and provide education and follow-up for appropriate use. 

Job Site Assessments / PDA
Assessment of essential work demands in various occupational settings. 

Worksite Assessments
Assessment of environmental, functional, and psychological aspects of the workplace. Barriers are eliminated through implementation of accommodation, ergonomic modifications and assistive devices in order to foster a return to work. 

Occupational Therapy / Kinesiology Intervention
Intervention for catastrophic files and follow-up services to promote independence and maximum function through education, training, counselling of OT techniques, and community reintegration.
